And the first step &#8212; communication &#8212; is often the most difficult.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3671\" src=\"https:\/\/genhq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/0817-pt-1.jpg\" alt=\"08:17 pt 1\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The good news is that <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"\/Millennials-Gen-Y-Generation-Y-info\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Millennials<\/a><\/span>, many of whom are becoming parents already, seem to be starting a new trend of openness about money. A groundbreaking study conducted by <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.principal.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Principal<\/a><\/span> and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"\/\" rel=\"noopener\">The Center for Generational Kinetics<\/a><\/span> found that Millennials are already having\u00a0more discussions about money with their families and other generations. In fact, they are <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/insurancenewsnet.com\/oarticle\/how-to-have-the-money-talk-with-the-kids\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">twice as likely<\/a><\/span> as Boomers or Gen Z to have discussed finances with a family member in the past week!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3674\" src=\"https:\/\/genhq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/0817-pt-3.jpg\" alt=\"08:17 pt 3\" width=\"800\" height=\"437\" \/><\/p>\n<p>But talking about money can become very emotional and fraught with anxiety if you don&#8217;t come at it in a place of understanding and education.
