They also wanted to know how it impacts our client\u2019s businesses, including with employee recruiting, retention and development\u2014as well as growing sales.<\/p>\n<p>Jason shared that our mission is to bring truth to the generational conversation thru data. We want to know what\u2019s real, not just what makes a great headline. Most importantly we want to uncover generations using data.<\/p>\n<p>At The Center, we research the <strong>hidden drivers<\/strong> of generational behaviors to better understand differences between each generation\u2014from Baby Boomers and Gen X to Millennials and Gen Z.<\/p>\n<p>We look at these hidden drivers and their impact on sales, marketing, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"\/attract-engage-retain-gen-z\/\">employee retention<\/a><\/span>, and innovation. What we uncover enables us to solve tough generational challenges for clients and bring truth to the generational conversation.<\/p>\n<h4>Millennials Aren\u2019t Lazy; They\u2019re Disruptors<\/h4>\n<p>The interviewer specifically asked Jason about some of the biggest misconceptions surrounding Millennials. If you\u2019re a subscriber to the blog, you know how often we take on myths and misconceptions about Millennials as well as Gen Z.<\/p>\n<p>Jason revealed that we consistently tackle the myth that Millennials are lazy in the workplace. He explained there are actually more Millennials in the U.S. workforce than any other generation! He also revealed that Millennials are spending more money than any other generation. In fact, they are now the number one driver of consumer trends.<\/p>\n<p>Instead of viewing Millennials as lazy, we view them as disruptors of the status quo. They are changing the way companies operate\u2014from their workplace best practices and communication to product innovations, branding, and marketing.<\/p>\n<p>Jason shares that companies don\u2019t have to adapt to win Millennials, but if they don\u2019t adapt they will face even more challenges as the generation rapidly emerges. In fact, it\u2019s only going to get more challenges as Generation Z emerges.
