However, even if they\u2019ve scored jobs where they\u2019re allowed a certain amount of paid time off, many are afraid to use them for vacations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">According to a recent <a href=\"http:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/kaytiezimmerman\/2016\/07\/28\/how-important-are-flexible-time-off-policies-to-millennials\/#37745bbc9aba\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Forbes<\/a> article, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.takebackyourtime.org\/why-vacations-matter\/nielsen-research-findings\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a survey by TakeBackYourTime.org<\/a>\u00a0revealed that 54% of employees don\u2019t take a\u00a0vacation in order to save their time off for emergencies, and 34% of employees <strong><em>never<\/em><\/strong> take vacations with their family!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/genhq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/0805-pt-5.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3605\" src=\"https:\/\/genhq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/0805-pt-5.jpg\" alt=\"08:05 pt 5\" width=\"799\" height=\"486\" srcset=\"https:\/\/genhq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/0805-pt-5.jpg 799w, https:\/\/genhq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/0805-pt-5-300x182.jpg 300w, https:\/\/genhq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/0805-pt-5-768x467.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 799px) 100vw, 799px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>3. Lunch breaks are not what they used to be. <\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/uproxx.com\/life\/lunch-break-office-work-food\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New research<\/a> shows that Millennials are not even getting up from their desks to take their lunch breaks. Perhaps it\u2019s because their tethered to their computers or phones, but long gone are the days when lunch hour meant a break from work and a temporary escape from the office.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">But Millennials are not alone in this. A study conducted by <a href=\"http:\/\/uproxx.com\/life\/lunch-break-office-work-food\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Right Management<\/a> found that 80 percent of employees do <em>not<\/em> take a regular lunch break. But this doesn\u2019t mean that they\u2019re working through their lunch breaks. It might actually mean that they think of their desks as a more casual space, making way for <em>decreased<\/em> productivity.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, it\u2019s important to remember that not all Millennials are alike\u00a0and that just because <em>some<\/em> of them act a certain way, it doesn\u2019t mean that they will all have the same preferences.
